Study Program: Nonprofit-, Social- & Health Management (Bachelor)
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
The relatively wide-ranging course of study gave me the opportunity to gather experience in many different areas. It prepared me for my current job, because I was given a certain autonomy in my actions. Seeing how change is driven and knowing that we have the ability to change the world has been an important learning experience for me over the years. Because we had the opportunity to work with real partners such as the community, many businesses and volunteer organizations to implement projects or studies, I was able to gain many insights and a better understanding of the business world.
When I look back at my time at MCI...
I am very happy to have received practical knowledge. Despite the "school-like character" due to the many face-to-face classes, I felt part of a university environment, as I had the opportunity to attend panel discussions and symposia with high-ranking guests. The scientific discourse was always present and linked to economic topics.
What would you tell someone who is considering studying at MCI?
MCI is a suitable place to acquire practical knowledge and learn with experienced lecturers. It is an advantage to work with practically oriented people and to exchange ideas with like-minded people. The possibility to start an Erasmus+ or to complete an internship abroad are great opportunities to gain new experiences. MCI supports students to organize these opportunities and the bureaucratic efforts are very low, compared to universities where you have to make your own arrangements.
