When I look back at my time at MCI...
then I remember a formative period during which I not only gained professional knowledge but also grew personally. The international exchange and practice-oriented education at MCI played a major role in my professional development. The lectures were characterized by a strong practical focus, and regardless of the lecturer or professor, we were able to see and understand different approaches. This created a solid foundation that I continue to build on to this day—whether in the classic non-profit, social, and healthcare sectors, or in other areas of the economy. Even though I am no longer working in that field today, my studies led me to where I am now.
How did your studies at MCI prepare you for your current job?
My studies at MCI equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in my current position. The close integration of theory and practice enabled me to effectively tackle complex challenges and develop innovative solutions. A key focus was also on thinking beyond traditional approaches, making it easier and more efficient to overcome challenges. Not least, the internship marked my entry into the IT field—since I was already hired by my internship provider (Sanatorium Kettenbrücke) during my studies and worked full-time at the hospital throughout my final semesters. Through this experience and the lectures, I learned to think in terms of processes, a skill I still apply today in client meetings while working in sales for document management systems.
