The City
Buenos Aires is the capital, and largest city, of Argentina, currently the second-largest metropolitan area in South America, after São Paulo. It is located on the eastern shore of the Río de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the South American continent. Greater Buenos Aires is the fourth-largest conurbation in Latin America, with a population of around 13 million.
Rosario is located 300 km northwest of Buenos Aires, on the western shore of the Paraná River and has 1,025,000 residents.
The city is a major railroad terminal and the shipping center for northeastern Argentina. Ships reach the city via the Paraná River, which allows the existence of a 34-feet deep port.
The University
The university is a confessional Catholic institution, under the spiritual guidance of the Prelature of Opus Dei.
Austral University has the following academic seats and faculties:
- In Buenos Aires City: Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering.
- In Pilar, Buenos Aires: Austral University Hospital and Faculty of Biomedic Sciences.
- In Rosario: Faculty of Entrepreneurial Sciences.
MCI students study mainly at the campus in Pilar, Buenos Aires.
