The City
Herzliya is an affluent city in the central coast of Israel, at the Northern part of the Tel Aviv District known for its robust start-up and entrepreneurial culture. In 2016 it had a population of 93,116. Named after Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, Herzliya covers an area of 21.6 square kilometres. At its western municipal boundaries is Herzliya Pituah, one of Israel's most affluent neighborhoods and home to numerous Embassies, as well as prominent Israeli business people.
The University
Reichman University, formerly known as IDC Herzliya, is a distinguished academic institution founded in 1994, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in education, research, and the training of future leaders. It provides its students with educational programs that combine academic study with hands-on training and is committed to providing students with the necessary tools to become frontrunners in their fields, in Israel and abroad. Reichman University offers degrees in law, business, government, computer science, communications, economics and psychology.
The campus is located in the city of Herzliya, Israel, six miles north of Tel Aviv and a short distance from the Herzliya Pituach high-tech area and beaches.
