The City


Leipzig is Germany's eighth-largest city located in the state of Saxony about 150 km southwest of Berlin. Having been a trade city since the at least the Middle Ages, nowadays it is a center for automobile manufacturing by companies such as BMW and Porsche. It is also home to Leipzig University, one of Europe's oldest universities, and the main seat of the German National Library.
With its various sights, lively city center as well as innovative music and art scene, Leipzig is one of Germany's most visited cities attracting many young people.


The University


HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, established in 1898, is a private and one of the world's oldest business school. Based in Saxony, Germany the school offers graduate and doctoral degree programs. It was also the first private German Business School achieving AACSB accreditation. With more than 30% of international students it has a very diverse student body bringing enriching and multicultural backgrounds.
