Successful start to studies for the Digital Business & Software Engineering students

On Friday, September 6, we welcomed 64 students to the opening event of our bachelor’s program in Digital Business & Software Engineering (DiBSE). The new class is characterized by an exciting diversity: The students are on average 28 years old and predominantly from Tyrol (34), but also from Vorarlberg, Salzburg, Upper and Lower Austria, as well as the capital city, Vienna. Additionally, seven international students are part of the cohort, including nationals from Syria and Ukraine. We are especially pleased to welcome 12 female students in the class of 2024.

The kick-off event included not only a comprehensive introduction to the program but also the first lessons in the eCollaboration module. In addition to important organizational information about the general study process and our virtual learning environment, there was also a campus tour and an initial meet-and-greet with the faculty and fellow students. The day concluded with a lively networking event, providing the perfect opportunity for students to connect and start building relationships.

Office Manager Hanna Rauter emphasized: “We warmly welcome our freshers to MCI, look forward to three successful years of study together, and wish you all the best for this new chapter in your lives!”
