On April 1, a new research project started at MCI. Researchers, under supervision of project leader Michael Meister, investigate and optimize the energy input required for mixing anaerobic digestion towers. The research results should serve as a basis for further research projects, as well as bringing direct benefits for wastewater treatment plant operators due to reduced energy consumption. The research project is jointly run with the University of Innsbruck and funded by the Federal Ministry for Sustainability and Tourism.
