Bernhard Hollaus researches and teaches in the Department of Medical & Health Technologies and is a guest on the latest episode of the science podcast "Sensing Motion Science". Here, in an interview with the German podcast organizers Marcus Schmidt and Sebastian Wille, a sports scientist and an electronics engineer, he discusses how to process motion data sensibly so it can be of use to someone. He explains how to view machine learning and artificial intelligence in a sports context, what his research entails, and where developments in technology-enabled systems in sports and health are heading for.
"Sensing Motion Science" is a build-up podcast for the Symposium on Inertial Sensing on September 22, 2022, where Bernhard Hollaus also participated. Leading up to the Symposium, a new episode featuring a guest scientist was released each week. The podcast addresses the young, scientific community for sports science in the DACH region and ensures an increased awareness of MCI activities.
